Public Hearing Process
Public hearings are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. (unless otherwise noted) and are held in Council Chambers at the Red Deer County Centre. Council will hear from anyone claiming to be affected by the bylaws being proposed. The hearings are informal and persons wishing to speak will be requested to state their name and address upon being recognized by the Chair. Comments may be submitted in writing to email@example.com and written submissions may be made public, subject to the provisions of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
PUBLIC HEARING - Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at 1:30 p.m.
Bylaw No. 2020/23 to close and sell an approximate 3.89-acre portion of the undeveloped road allowance located between NW 14-35-24-4 and NE 15-35-24-4 (adjacent to Rge Rd 242 north of Twp Rd 352, west of Elnora).
Bylaw No. 2020/24 to close and sell a portion of Twp Rd 375 located in Gasoline Alley West (NE 29‑37‑27‑4). This closure to come into effect following the summer 2021 construction of a bridge over Waskasoo Creek on the north extension of Liberty.
Bylaw No. 2020/25 to permanently close a portion of Rge Rd 282 located south of Twp Rd 362 (between NE 10 and NW 11, 36-28-4, west of Hwy 2A and north of Innisfail) for safety reasons.
Bylaw No. 2020/26 to amend Part 18, Condominium Resort Residential District (R-7), of the Land Use Bylaw No. 2006/6 (LUB), by adding “Home Business – Minor” as a Discretionary Use in this district.
Home Business – Minor means the secondary use of a principal dwelling by at least one permanent resident of the dwelling to conduct a business activity or occupation. A minor home business does not include a bed and breakfast facility, but may include a value added agricultural industry.
The permitted and discretionary uses and other matters presently applicable to the R-7 district are contained in the LUB.

Bylaw No. 2020/2.01 to redesignate Pt SW 13-39-27-4 (3.757 ha / 9.28 acres) from Agricultural District (Ag) to Country Residential (R-1).
