Monday, October 16, 2017, is the date for the next Municipal Election.
Changes were made to the Local Authorities Election Act (LAEA), and as of January 1, 2014, candidates intending to run in the October 2017 municipal election are required to register with the municipality prior to accepting any campaign contributions. If you intend to run as a candidate for Red Deer County Mayor or Councillor in the October 2017 Municipal Election, prior to accepting campaign contributions, please complete the prescribed form noted below and submit it to Legislative Services.

is Monday, September 18, 2017, and Nominations will be accepted between 10 a.m. and 12 noon at Red Deer County Centre. Red Deer County requires that each nomination be accompanied by a $100 deposit which must be paid when the nomination paper is filed. The deposit may be paid either by cash (interact), certified cheque or money order payable to Red Deer County.
