Off the CreekOff the Creek
The Off the Creek Program can provide funding, and technical resources to landowners in the County who wish to do take actions on their land that benefit water bodies, riparian areas, native range, and shallow groundwater. Red Deer County landowners can apply for funding grants for things like off-stream watering systems, fencing, manure management, septic system improvements, and so on (these are just some examples).
Please note that the Off the Creek Program IS NOT about eliminating access to water bodies,riparian areas, and native range. Instead, it's about using various tools to beneficially manage how they are accessed and used.
