Manure Management

Manure is a valuable resource to agriculture in Red Deer County. It is an excellent source of nutrients and organic matter for our soils. The County provides information and resources to livestock producers, to assist them in managing their manure for maximum benefit. For example, a project we are currently involved in (with Alberta Agriculture) is the Liquid Manure Injection Project. As well, we can assist producers in developing Nutrient or Manure Management Plans for their farms.
