Those who registered in person can contact the County office for a refund or a credit for future programming use.
- Family Resource Centres in Benalto and Springbrook are closed until further notice. For information about closures of other community facilities throughout Red Deer County, please contact the facility operator directly. Contact information can be found at rdcounty.ca/communityhalls.
- The annual Volunteer Appreciation event has also been postponed until further notice.
Red Deer County Mayor Jim Wood remarks, “We realize that our residents may be struggling. I encourage residents who may need additional support to contact our Community Services staff or to use the online supports from the Provincial government. Staff are well prepared to deal with questions. Red Deer County is working with the best practices set by Alberta Health Services and we urge our residents to do the same.”
Wood continued, “Residents should know that essential municipal services will continue in a safe and timely manner. Our Protective, Corporate, Operations, and Planning and Development Services continue to function despite our municipal buildings being closed to the public.”
