Red Deer County 2011 (Wind) Disaster Recovery Program Approved for Agricultural Applications

(RED DEER COUNTY) – The Province of Alberta announced yesterday that Red Deer County residents who experienced damages to essential agriculture assets by a severe wind event on July 7, 2011 are being included in a provincial Disaster Recovery Program.

The purpose of a Disaster Recovery Program is to assist applicants in returning to a basic standard of living and does not necessarily cover losses at actual replacement value and does not provide assistance for property that can be insured or property considered as luxury or non-essential. 

Red Deer County residents affected by the July 7th storm are to call toll free 1.888.671.1111 to apply for assistance.
