Public Hearing Process
Public hearings are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. (unless otherwise noted) and are held in Council Chambers at Red Deer County Centre. Council will hear from anyone claiming to be affected by the bylaws being proposed. The hearings are informal and persons wishing to speak will be requested to state their name and address upon being recognized by the Chair. Comments may be submitted in writing to email@example.com and written submissions may be made public, subject to the provisions of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.

Bylaw No. 2019/2.06 to redesignate 0.936 hectares (2.31 acres) of NW 15-39-27-4 from Agricultural District "Ag" to Country Residential "R-1"
These lands are located directly north of the City of Red Deer, approximately 4 kms north of Hwy 11A on the C&E Trail. The purpose of the bylaw is to accommodate a subdivision in accordance with Phase 1 of the Wiebe Acres Local Area Structure Plan.
The permitted and discretionary uses and other matters presently applicable to "Ag" and "R-1" districts are contained in the Red Deer County Land Use Bylaw No. 2006/6.
Bylaw No. 2019/25 to adopt the Kneehill County and Red Deer County Intermunicipal Development Plan (IDP) 2019.
The purpose of the IDP is to provide a framework for the Counties to work together to address issues and opportunities of mutual concern as they relate to future land use planning in and around the Counties boundary lines.
Tuesday, October 1, 2019 Council will further consider Bylaw No. 2019/24 to increase the speed limit on Rge Rd 23 from Twp Rd 342 to Hwy 587 to 90km/hr.
